Ocean State Assessment is an independent private practice owned and operated by a licensed psychologist in Providence, Rhode Island. The practice provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, psychological evaluations, and educational evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

​Gregory Paquin, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist who specializes in neuropsychological, psychological, and educational evaluation for children, adolescents, and adults.

Dr. Paquin brings over a decade of experience providing evaluations, therapy, and consultation services across clinical, school, and community settings. This experience also includes direct collaboration with primary care doctors, psychiatrists, families, educators, schools, therapists, occupational therapists, and speech and language pathologists, to support individuals with a wide range of learning, attention, emotional, and developmental needs.
With combined training in clinical psychology and school psychology, Dr. Paquin is uniquely suited to provide evaluations that make sense in the real world. His evaluations are designed not only to clarify diagnoses when appropriate, but to translate the findings into real life, and provide recommendations that are practical, meaningful, and usable across settings.
Dr. Paquin approaches each evaluation as a collaborative and respectful process. He believes that people are more than test scores or diagnostic labels, and his work emphasizes careful listening, strengths-based understanding, and thoughtful interpretation.
Dr. Paquin is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP), a Rhode Island Certified School Psychologist, and a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS). These credentials reflect years of advanced training in assessment and intervention across the lifespan, as well as an ongoing commitment to staying current with evolving research, diagnostic practices, and evidence-based supports.
