What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility arrangements in the organization and physical office space

Ocean State Assessment is committed to providing an accessible, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all individuals and families.

Our office is located on the first floor of the building and is fully handicap accessible. The building includes a dedicated parking lot with convenient access to the office entrance. The office can be accessed without stairs.

Inside the office, visitors will find:

  • A comfortable waiting area

  • Accessible restrooms

  • Water available to all visitors

Recognizing the diverse sensory and physical needs of the individuals we serve, the office is designed with flexibility in mind. Multiple lighting options are available, and sensory regulation supports (such as reduced lighting, quiet spaces, and other accommodations as needed) can be provided to promote comfort during visits.
